Wall Street Outspends Tax Payers: We Have the Best Congress Money Can Buy

Are we really a nation governed for the people and by the people?  This Vox article explains that we are a nation governed by corporations and for corporations –  a major victory for the Financialization Revolution.

voxCorporations now spend more lobbying Congress than taxpayers spend funding Congress.

Change is possible, we can make the transition from congress to lobbying more difficult.  We can legislate the amount of money funneled into corporate lobbying.   We could create a central think-tank that takes the place of the lobbying industry.   We can make sure congress suspends their wall street interest while they are serving the country.

Many of these regulations have been in place but since the Revolution, they’ve been voted off the books or simply ignored along with other laws that are meant to keep our economy sustainable.

We are in the middle of a Revolution whether we want to be or not.  We must educate ourselves so that we understand what the  Revolution is about, then we can muster the troops and bring it to a stop.   Our very future as a nation depends on us.

Yours, Frankie
